I love reading, and I've always hoping that my little boy will love books as much as I do too.
How can we build up children's reading habit?
the rule of thumb is to read to them, and enjoy reading with them since early age.
When one and a half years old Sean started to show his interest in books,
I was so excited and start googling for nice children books for him,
and this is how I found Book Xcess.
Book Xcess is located at Amcorp Mall, PJ,
I love their concept of selling brand new books at low prices.
I've blog for the very first time that we visited to their bookstore.

and now they even have a blog- www.bookxcessblog.com,
with the book reviews by their lovely staffs,
and weekly Blog Bonanza contest to give out vouchers or free books for the readers.
It's a perfect place for the readers and Book Xcess to get close,
and share their experiences and comments.
Sean would like to share his favourite book - Ladybird moves home by Richard Fowler,
Sean loves it from the first time mommy read to him.

And now 3 years old Sean can tells the story of the ladybird using his imagination,
In order to make our reading time more interesting and fun,
I asked Sean, how about mommy and Sean,
do a little "drama" based on the story of Ladybird moves home .
Let mommy plays the music part using xylophone,
and Sean will do the reading part.
(He can't read the words on the book but he can tells the story using his own words)
When the Spider shout 'You can't stay here!' ,'This is my house!',
I played a nervous rhythm, and Sean laugh!!
and when the ladybird finally reach her home safely,
I played Sean's favourite song which he learned from the cartoon "Little Einstein",
-"Ode to Joy" by Ludwig van Beethoven.
We have a fun time playing this little "drama" together!!
